Villains aren’t born, they’re made as Sony Pictures (in association with Marvel) release the first official trailer for the upcoming superhero film Kraven the Hunter. View trailer below.
Kraven the Hunter is the visceral story about how and why one of Marvel’s most iconic villains came to be. Set before his notorious vendetta with Spider-Man, Aaron Taylor-Johnson stars as the titular character in the R-rated film.
Oh yes….I forgot about this particular movie coming out this year. However, I am curious to see how this film plays out. The extended Spider-Man universe (the one created by Sony Pictures) has indeed been a bumpy road, with the mixed thoughts on the two Venom movies and Morbius. So, i was a bit leery about how Sony would handle a Kraven the Hunter movie. However, this first look at the upcoming film looks to be quite promising. There are superhero vibes, but mostly downplayed and is mostly a grounded story of revenge with a mixture of a few supernatural elements. In the end, I am quite curious to see how Kraven the Hunter ultimately shapes up to be and how it will be connected to the larger Spider-Man universe.
