China Central Television Sports Events Channel (CCTV-5+Sports Events) is the second free sports channel of China Central Television. It is broadcast in full HD format (some cable TV operators will transmit this channel with SD set-top boxes that have been downscaled). It was replaced by the original CCTV HD channel at 9:00 on August 18, 2013.
