Duna World is the international channel of Duna Media, which broadcasts its programme to Hungarians scattered around the world. It is owned by the Public Service Foundation. Its programmes were broadcast under the name Duna World in 2012. it began on January 1. The Duna World channel was launched with public service programmes conveying value and tradition, the primary task of which is to inform and entertain Hungarians living beyond the sea and in the Carpathian Basin. The 24-hour Duna World strengthens the sense of national belonging among Hungarians scattered around the world, and also provides an opportunity for the descendants of our compatriots who are far from home to get to know the culture and language of their ancestors. To this end, Duna World broadcasts its programme according to the local chronology of the largest Hungarian communities living outside Europe, the Hungarians of the American and Australian continents.
