Nagykanizsa City Television is one of the first in the country and 6th in the country. it was established as a local television station in 1985 by the then City Council. In the first years, the institution operated as part of the Hevesi Sandor Cultural Center, with one broadcast per month, then one broadcast every two weeks, then one broadcast per week. The team, which became professional in 1994, broadcast its daily broadcast not only on cable, but also from its own transmitter. Since 1998, Kanizsa TV Ltd. it operates as a 100% local government owned company.
